Oculus (オクルス Okurusu) is a Villain organization run by Kotei Tamashi.
History[]
The group was founded several years ago by Kotei Tamashi. The organization rose in infamy and danger under his leadership, being second to only the influence of All For One. The many activities of Oculus eventually led them to clash with Isan Jooryoku and his Hero group. While they had clashed numerous times, it was after their final confrontation that caused many of the group's members to be captured or arrested, however, Kotei remained at large, allowing him to rebuild his organization.
Description[]
While originally Oculus enjoyed the limelight, since their first defeat they have since become more secretive. Oculus is Latin for "eye", with the reasoning behind the name being that the members believe they see a better future without Heroes, and strive to eliminate them from society. They also wish to install Kotei as the world's leader and making him the strongest man in the world. As such, Oculus is also seen as somewhat of a cult. The members have a heavily take part in illegal arms manufacturing and procurement, as well as the distribution of Quirk destroying and enhancing drugs.
Organization[]
Oculus itself has a very easy to follow hierarchy. At the top is the leader, Kotei, who his direct subordinates are all loyal to. His direct subordinates, known as lieutenants, serve as high ranking members of the organization and all report directly to Kotei. In order for them to remain anonymous, the identities of all lieutenants are kept hidden from the general public, with only Kotei himself being privy to this knowledge. Their physical appearances, including skin tone, eye color, and even their voice, is hidden by their costumes. Each lieutenant also has several subordinates of their own, albeit they cannot approach Kotei directly. These individuals also have their names hidden from the general public, but they take less effort hiding their physical appearance. The lieutenants are the most trustworthy members of Oculus to Kotei, and he often gives them more important missions. Standing next to Kotei are his bodyguards. With there only being two at a time, each bodyguard serves as an enforcer for Kotei. They are responsible for killing any traitors, when not directly protecting Kotei, and possess as much authority as lieutenants.
